After 2020 put new parents Alison + Miguel out of a job, they decided to create their own certainty and pursue their life-long dream of an event + catering company. With large events and dining out closed due the pandemic, they saw a need in the industry for creating one-of-a-kind catering experiences for those who still desired to celebrate special occasions in their homes. 

Their business quickly took off in December 2020 with Charcuterie Platters for the holidays. They've since expanded to offer Catering and Event Coordination for Micro-weddings, Small Intimate Gatherings and Private Chef Experiences.

Alison + Miguel are humbled every single day to be able to serve their customers well by creating lasting memories through their intimate events for years to come.

With a combined 30 yr experience in the Event and Hospitality Industry - Husband and wife duo Alison and Miguel are driven to serve excellence and lead a team of passionate professionals to bring you the total event experience.

Miguel Dias

Co-Owner & Executive Chef

Miguel Dias- Owner, Executive Chef specializes in European and Mediterranean cuisine and creates an immersive gourmet experience inspired by fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. You can expect to enjoy a gourmet meal with delicious, inspiring pairings.

CAREER:

As a child, Miguel was inspired by his parents’ Portuguese home cooking. Enamoured by their love and respect for quality and tradition, he decided to pursue a career as a chef. Miguel first started working in a European Bakery rolling dough and baking bread, then moved on to be a Short Order Cook at various small dining establishments. 

Hungry to learn more, he enrolled as a student at George Brown College where he was professionally trained in the Culinary Apprenticeship Program. Chef Miguel entered the world of fine dining, flourishing during his apprenticeship with Red Seal Chef, James Charman. 

Miguel went onto large quantity cooking at the largest golf course in Canada where he served as Head Chef, developing and refining his culinary techniques.

ENJOYMENTS:

Being a father to a spirited 4yo.

Miguel loves to be in the kitchen with his crew cooking up 5 star meals, prepping for events and enjoys mentoring others to help them do their best.

Alison Dias

Co-Owner, Events Specialist

Alison loves to bring your vision to life by organizing all your details, putting together a talented team of vendors and overseeing your event to be the best it can be!

Known for her sunny personality, attention to detail and fresh outlook on life, she will work diligently to exceed your expectations.

CAREER:

Alison started off her career as a Food and Beverage Manager at Canada's Wonderland. From there she worked many years at Cardinal Golf Club as their lead Event Sales and Marketing Coordinator. With a growing passion in Weddings and Events Alison joined Chair Décor, Etc as an Account Manager in Event Rentals and was a founding board member of WIPA Toronto (Wedding International Professional Association- Toronto Chapter).

ENJOYMENTS:

Alison loves to be surrounded in natures beauty and spend the day outside. She is a homeschool mama/teacher and loves the environment of a forest, park, beach or library to play and teach.

Favorite place is at home, Wonderland or Sibbald's Point.

Passionate about weddings and celebrations. Supporting a newly engaged couple through their wedding journey. From Miss to Mrs and families joining through marriage. I love playing an active role behind the scenes for those magical transitions and transformations!

Favorite food: Foods that can be shared because it offers something for everyone. Platters, Charcuterie, sweets table.

This introvert is fun loving, resourceful, caring, values genuine human connection and authenticity.
