Amazing catering service! I booked them for a private chef dinner to surprise my mom for her 60th and they went above and beyond to make it special. From the appetizers to the main course, everything was phenomenal! Chef Miguel knows how to cook a killer meal! I called Alison the night before panicking because we didn’t have enough plates and cutlery at the Airbnb we rented and she came through free of charge and added her decorative touch to the table and made everything look so pretty, she even wrote me a thank you card and had a dinner table game for my family to play. You can tell they are passionate about making sure you’re satisfied with everything. Really friendly people and made it a night to remember! 10/10 service. I highly recommend. I want to book again it was so fun!

What can I say...WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND Turn of Events & Catering. This husband & wife team made our Wedding Day everything we wanted.....plus, so much more!!!!!!!!! Alison was on point with her check-ins and making sure I stay on top of the information and details she needed to properly execute the day seamlessly. Chef Miguel and his food was incredible. The dishes came out looking 5 star and tasted superb. Our wedding was a small backyard gathering, but in a pandemic, we still had our share of panic moments. Alison tackled each hiccup head on, while calming me down, and problem solving in real time. Having Alison directing the day from set up to tear down, my husband and I were able to be present throughout the day without a worry that an important detail would be missed. We have also used them for some smaller family events and the Charcuterie boards are amazing too!!!!!!!!

Alison and Miguel, thank you so much for everything you guys did to create an unbelievable event for us! The vision and ideas you had and the incredible menu made yesterday an incredible day for our family. Every step of the way was an absolute pleasure working with you, you are both so gifted and talented, and along side with your staff you are the epitome of professionalism. The charcuterie board was amazing, the main meal was delicious and the fruit table, sweets and decor and setup were a dream come true for us. You guys totally nailed every single detail and brought the very best experience we could have ever asked for. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to work with you again! I don't even know where to start. Alison SAVED OUR WEDDING! Without her, I don't think it would have gone the way we wanted it to. From the decorations to the all day planning and coordinating. She was an angel on earth. Always making sure we were ok and on time with everything. She was in contact with all of our vendors and made sure they were all good as well. Her team did an AMAZING job with the decor and flowers. I was in AWE when we walked into our reception room. We had gotten countless compliments how beautiful the room looked and how pleasant Alison was with all of our guests. For our bouquets, it was exactly what I had showed her on Pinterest as inspiration. It was a dream come true!! She is truly amazing and you all need her at your wedding.

Alison and Miguel are truly the best at what they do. Miguel is known for being an incredible chef and Alison for being an amazing event planner/coordinator. Their actions definitely speak louder than words as we only gave them just under 3 weeks to plan/prepare for our wedding day - which was not much time at all. Miguel’s charcuterie boards are the absolute best with the freshest bread, fruits, veggies, meats, cheese and sides; and with our drive in wedding, they were great to give as post-ceremony meals for our guests. If you know Alison, you would know how passionate she is about event planning because she is such a caring individual who wants to make sure that all of her clients not only have an astonishing event, but also are able to truly celebrate the meaning of each event and not have to worry about anything else. Turn of events has such a strong mission statement especially during this pandemic which my wife and I really resonate with which is why we chose this service. This couple really loves what they do, goes above and beyond to serve others with joy out of their caring hearts, and I would highly recommend Turn of Events and Catering to absolutely everyone!

I HAD to write a review based on my experience with Turn of Events. Like many couples, in 2020 my fiancee and I had our wedding plans, postponed, changed (like 7635372 times), and ultimately cancelled after our venue went out of business. Due to restrictions at the time (October 2020) we knew we weren’t going to be able to have anything close to the wedding we had planned. I was heartbroken but knew it was for the best. We had previously scheduled a small photoshoot early October and this is where Turn of events jumped in. Alison came on board and completely went above and beyond. Together, we planned our ‘Head Table Experience’ that we could enjoy and have pictures of! This was especially important as we were not going to have any wedding pictures. Alison was super available and responded quickly throughout the whole process and made sure my vision came to life. She found linens, decor, food, plants & flowers etc etc I could go on! It was absolutely beautiful when it was all done, and could not have turned out better. We had our photographs taken and were left to enjoy a date night where we snacked on food and drank wine. I can’t tell you how valuable this was for us, after missing out on having our dream wedding. I felt like I still got to have a little piece of what I was planning. Alison and Miguel are a power duo who made everything happen smoothly and quickly. If you are thinking about working with Turn of Events for anything DO IT! I also highly recommend the head table experience, although it may seem like a small part of the day, it really brought the whole thing to life and made it feel real and special. I can’t thank Alison and Miguel enough, and I hope to work with them again in the future !

Did a paint night on Saturday with RiLax Events and Turn of Events and Catering provided the Charcuterie board. Everyone was extremely professional and attentive and I had a blast! The Charcuterie board was amazing, everything was so fresh and well put together. My favourite items were the cheese bread (you can tell it was baked fresh) the Soppressata, brie and goat cheese...basically the whole board. I'm not the biggest fan of honey but even the fresh honeycomb paired with the rosemary bread, brie and ham were delicious (followed by grapes). There was a bottle of Pinot Grigio enclosed which was a perfect pairing and courtesy of the Holland Marsh Winery. I felt the portions were generous and worth the price and you can tell that a lot of time and thought went into the flavor profiles and providing the freshest ingredients. I would recommend Turn of Events and Catering to anyone and for any function- big or small. Miguel and Alison, your hard work, dedication and talent have not gone unnoticed and i truly believe this is just the beginning of an amazing journey for you. Thank you for providing outstanding service, I will definitely be using your services again!

What an absolutely mouthwatering platter of deliciousness. I cannot express how much we enjoyed this. The flavour and quality of the meats and cheeses were top notch. The fresh honeycomb and fresh variety of specialty breads and crackers was so fresh and unique. My personal favourite was the mushroom and the asparagus. Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed! Even came with a game to be played with friends for hours while munching away. Well done Alison and Chef Miguel ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Pleasantly surprised with a charcuterie board gift from Turn of Events. Fantastic assortment of cheeses meats and breads - The cheese bread being good enough that it was hoarded by family members and i barely got a taste. Thank you!

If we could give higher than a 5 star rating we would! We ordered a charcuterie board for Valentine’s day as well as some chocolate covered strawberries and we are in absolute love!! Chef Miguel prepared a board that was way better than I could have ever imagined! The boards were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The variety of cheeses, meats, veggies, crackers, fresh breads, etc. were outstanding! I even tried a super tasty local honey comb for the first time! Alison was so incredibly sweet, easy to talk, and quick to respond while taking my order. Alison and Miguel dropped off our board right on time and took every safety precaution while delivering. Not once did I ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Even through the facemask you could tell she had a huge smile on her face and could see they have a true love and passion for what they do! And it shows through in each and every detail! Their attention to detail was extraordinary. From the placement, quality, and variety of each food, right down to the packaging! The crackers and the bread were packaged separately so that they would stay fresh. There were even these super cute note attached to the board and a 21 questions card attached so that we could take turns asking each other each question! They go out of their way to not only provide fresh delicious food but to create an entire experience for you. You will NOT be disappointed ordering from this super sweet couple! I can’t wait to order our next board and order some to gift to our family and friends!
