On Lunar (Chinese) New Years eve we finally got the keys to our home in Georgina! The month of January we have been focused on our complex move. We had a lot of moving parts: business, toddler, and 5 different places where we had stored our belongings. We were the DIY moving company making multiple trips back and forth.

In a string of miraculous events we are currently living here! Here's our personal story of how that came to be. We were living in Innisfil and in our 5th year (2022) it was always in the plan to consider moving and we listed our home in April. While it was on the market and fully staged- we decided to live temporarily at my in-laws in Bradford. We were there for 3 months before we all reached our limits and the house deal was closed.

I regret the way I planned my own wedding. I made decisions that were not correct for me, and that were correct for the venue. The venue where my husband and I worked. I put so much pressure on what my future venue clients would think, what my colleagues would think.

Lets face it- the weddings these last couple of years are different. From the 1st year of pivots, Zoom elopements and outdoor parking lot weddings. Then into year 2 we saw the shifts from venues and banquet halls to Airbnb weddings, going from 160 guests to 30. Weddings have evolved and so have we.

A lot of our Charcuterie orders were given as gifts to a loved one! They wanted to let them know they were thinking of them by sending one of our Charcuterie Platters. We were really touched by this.- the idea that they are ordering for someone else other than themselves by putting their needs before their own during lockdown.
